RRC Chairman Porter’s Statement on the Leadership Changes at the Railroad Commission
AUSTIN -The following statement can be attributed to Chairman David Porter on leadership changes at the Texas Railroad Commission:
“The Railroad Commission will immediately begin a nationwide search for a new executive director, following Milton Rister’s announcement he will retire later this summer. This search will focus on a candidate with strong leadership capabilities and technical expertise, so that we may continue building on our legacy as the nation’s preeminent energy regulatory agency. I want to thank Milton for his service and wish him the best in the future.”
Texas Railroad Commission Chairman David Porter was elected statewide by the people of Texas to serve as a member of the Commission in November 2010. A Certified Public Accountant and successful small business owner, Chairman Porter has worked with oil and gas producers for nearly three decades providing strategic financial advice and tax counsel. He is the senior member of the Commission with a proven record of principle-driven, free market conservative leadership.
