RRC Accepting Comments on Proposed Amendments to Oil Well Status Report

05/30/2018

The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) is accepting public comment on proposed revisions to Form W-10, Oil Well Status Report. Public comments and proposed revisions will be accepted through August 1, 2018.

These form revisions are being proposed to reflect the proposed changes to 16 Texas Administrative Code §3.52 and §3.53 (Statewide Rules 52 and 53) to reduce annual well testing requirements. Instructions to the Form W-10 are also being modified to reflect the addition of a Status title on existing columns, so that operators may select the appropriate code to indicate that the well is producing or shut-in.

To view the proposed form and instructions, visit the RRC website at http://www.rrc.texas.gov/about-us/resource-center/forms/proposed-form-changes/. To comment on the proposed form, use the online comment form available on the RRC website at http://www.rrc.texas.gov/about-us/resource-center/forms/proposed-form-changes/proposed-form-amendments/.
