New Year’s Day Holiday Schedule

In observance of the New Year holiday, the Railroad Commission of Texas will close at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and remain closed through Friday, January 2, 2026. Normal business operations will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026.

RRC Abilene Office Moving to New Location

The Abilene office of the Railroad Commission of Texas is moving. The new location will be at 1969 Industrial Blvd, Abilene, Texas 79602. The new office will open for regular business on Friday, September 1, 2023. The office’s telephone and fax numbers will remain the same.

The Abilene office serves Oil and Gas Division district 7B. This district encompasses the following counties: Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Comanche, Coryell, Eastland, Erath, Fisher, Hamilton, Haskell, Hood, Jones, Lampasas, Mills, Nolan, Palo Pinto, Parker, San Saba, Shackelford, Somervell, Stephens, Stonewall, Taylor, and Throckmorton.
