Underground Injection Control (UIC) Permitting

This session will discuss how to navigate and use the UIC online manual; briefly discuss the origins of RRC’s program; and provide an overview of the administrative and technical review done by the staff for injection/disposal well applications. Through these reviews the participant will understand what is needed to complete the application process. It will include a detailed look at our seismic review process and walk the participants through doing their own seismic screening. Finally, we will discuss post permitting guidelines, protesting applications and what happens when you go to hearing.
