Texas Coal Mining Reclamation Awards

The Texas Coal Mining Reclamation Award is given every year to an exceptional mine operator for outstanding reclamation and community support. 

Awards are graded on 

  • Compliance
  • Contemporaneous
  • Post-Mining Land Use
  • innovative Practices

The RRC takes yearly applications for the Reclamation Award. Contact mining@rrc.texas.gov for more information.
